Realizing that God is truly blessing each woman of North Park C.M.E. Church, we are responding to His call to serve others through outreach and fellowship in hopes to enrich the spiritual lives of God's people.  Our efforts in the past few months have been ministry to the hungry and homeless, the elderly, the sick and shut in and to young women and men who recently graduated from high school.

The women ministry coordinates the food pantry of the Hallelujah House Ministry Center, providing physical nourishment, words of encouragement and prayer to individuals and families in need.  Church members are encouraged to bless others by donating a minimum of five nonperishable goods monthly.  We also extend our efforts by seeking donations from retail grocers and other businesses.  Approximately 25-50 individuals/families are served monthly from the pantry.  The food pantry is opened each fourth Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and weekly on an as needed basis. 

Along with making visits, phone calls, sending greeting cards, and extending prayer, the women assist the elderly, sick and shut-in with errands, transportation to church activities and other appointments, and also involve them in attending social outings.  Our hopes in the next month are to involve the seniors in a "pen pal" writing ministry to encourage those who are incarcerated. 

In recognition of the 2007-2008 high school graduates of NPCME, the women's ministry provided love offerings to the graduates to assist with textbooks for college.  Funds for this ministry are provided through donations and fundraisers. 

Our next community service project will be the annual "Back to School Drive" collecting school supplies for students in need.  Our next fundraiser will be a bake sale on July 15^th in the fellowship hall.  Bake goods will be provided by some of the best cooks at NPCME.  Please plan to donate a bake item and make a purchase.
